What’s the secret to becoming an outrageously brilliant media spokesperson?

Do you want to know the truth? When I tell you you’ll say “Oh well I knew that!”

Here’s the point, you’ll know it but are you living it?

The breathtakingly simple answer is – repetition.

See, what did I tell you? So now you know, what are you going to do with this revelation?

While you chew on that question here’s why repetition is the secret. What I am about to tell you sounds harsh, but it’s the truth. Moreover, as a grade A coach I want you to know the truth.

The benefit of repetition

Last year I worked with a guy whose previous media training session was 20 years ago. “Oh I remember everything like it was yesterday,” he yelled at the start of the day. He discovered fast how wrong he was.

Doing any form of communication coaching just once is a huge mistake. The magic is in the repetition. That’s where real learning begins. Struggling to say your message is the best learning.

It takes more than one day to become competent and confident.

Repetition is when you make progress. As you experience the pain of “I can’t get this” you’re improving. The flip side of struggling is getting better

Follow the thinking of Jim Rohn: “We must be gifted with words to reap the full treasures of life.”

Amen to that!
